THE WYCK ESTATE · HERTFORDSHIRE

English red wine, grown in Hertfordshire.

A small English estate with a singular
ambition: to produce red wine of character, depth and distinction.

An English estate, focused on red

The Wyck Estate sits among 17 acres of gently rolling Hertfordshire countryside. Here, on land with a history stretching back centuries, we are creating a vineyard devoted principally to fine red wine.

Our vines are planted with carefully selected Pinot Noir and disease-resistant red varieties chosen for the site and the changing English climate. The work is patient, exacting and necessarily limited in scale.

That is precisely the point.

Our Wines

English red wine remains rare. Truly compelling English red wine is rarer still.

Our first wine brings together Pinot Noir and Cabaret Noir grown at The Wyck Estate and harvested by hand. Made in small quantities, it reflects both the generosity of the vintage and our determination to let the fruit and place speak clearly.

Deep ruby in colour, with an expressive nose of spice, white pepper and cassis. Fresh plum and raspberry unfold on the palate, with a subtle note of dark chocolate adding depth and complexity. Vibrant and beautifully balanced, with a long, elegant finish.

What people say about the wine

"As a connoisseur of Californian and French reds, this is a very good, young Pinot Noir. Very happy to add this to my cellar."

Don M

"Definitely my favourite Pinot Noir at the moment.  Very excited to give it another go with the turkey at Christmas."

Visit, gather, celebrate

The vineyard is also a place to come together. We are developing a carefully considered programme of tastings and
events, alongside private celebrations and weddings in a setting that feels both intimate and unmistakably English.
